‘From Grand Jury to Sligo County Council’

When the first Sligo County Council was elected in 1899, it swept away the old Grand Jury regime which had controlled local administration in the county from the early 17 th century.

Thus ‘From Selected to Elected Administration: From Grand Jury to Sligo County Council’ is the title of the Sligo Field Club’s last lecture of the year.

The speaker for this final talk will be past SFC President Pat O’Brien.

It takes place on Friday next, December 14 th at the Education Centre, IT Sligo at 8pm.

All are welcome but there is a charge of €5 for non-members.
