School bus appeals
THE Council is calling on Minister of State for Training, Skills, Innovation, Research and Development John Halligan to deal with the thousands of School Bus appeals before his Department.
Cllr Michael Clarke said he knew of several families waiting for their appeals to be heard and described the lack of action as “encouraging the death of rural Ireland.”
He was supported by Cllr Keith Henry, Paul Taylor, Margaret Gormley and Cathaoirleach Martin Baker. He called for a special meeting to be convened to discuss rural Ireland.
