Future use of Kazelain

THE Council is “actively exploring a number of options” for the Kazelain property in Finisklin.

Cllr Chris MacManus suggested using it for social housing. Official Joe Murphy said the Council was ultimately responsible for Kazelain. He said in its existing condition it could not be used to house homeless families but they were meeting with group housing bodies to see if it could be used for social housing.

Cllr MacManus welcomed the update, as did Cllrs Seamus Kilgannon and Rosaleen O’Grady.
