Rockfield lighting

ROCKFIELD National School in Coolaney has been urged to apply for a Clár funding grant next year for new lighting.

Cllrs Keith Henry and Margaret Gormley both tabled motions asking the Council to provide the lighting in the interest of public safety.

Cllr Gormley said she thought it was unfair that the school will have to apply to Clár which means they’ ll also have to fundraise. Tom Kilfeather said the Council did not have the funds and Clár was the best approach for the school to take.
