GAA CLUB AGM

The GAA club AGM has been fixed for Friday, December 14, in the community centre. The new club gym is nearly complete and it is expected to view on the night of the AGM There has been a lot of activity around the grounds in the last few weeks with the pitch currently closed after being spiked, sanded and reseeded. The new fencing around the main playing field is currently in the tender process and it is expected will be in place before the new season commences.

TRADITIONAL MUSIC CLASSES

The Moy Valley Comhaltas are setting up three additional music classes in Ballina and are now enrolling for classes in Fiddle, Banjo and Concertina. David Doocey, who is a multi-instrumentalist and has won numerous competitions and all-Ireland’s in Fiddle, Banjo and Concertina has been secured by the branch to give classes to both children and adults on Thursday evenings. David Doocey also won the World Fiddle Competition in 2006.
