Extensive red tape holding up Cartron playground

-

The Chief State Solicitor’s office has requested extensive paperwork before they will release common lands in Cartron estate for a playground.

Councillor Gino O’Boyle sought an update and was told that the paperwork is “almost completed” by the Council and will be submitted very shortly to the Chief State Solicitor’s office.

“What we can’t say is if they will have further queries, whether they will seek additional information and how long it will be for a response,” said Director of Services Bartley Gavin.

“Finally, even though we have put in the effort and cost, we cannot be sure of what decision the department will take,” he said.
