Swim raises €41,130.97 for the North­west Hospice

THE or­gan­is­ers of the an­nual Lough Gill swim re­cently pre­sented the cheque from the event to the North­west Hospice in their new shop on Wine Street.

The swim, which was founded in mem­ory of the late Neil McGarry, is a huge fundraiser for the North­west Hospice and every year raises sub­stan­tial money for the charity.

This year the swim raised a whop­ping €41,130.97 which will go to­ward the vi­tal ser­vices the North­west Hospice pro­vides.

Or­gan­is­ers said they were de­lighted with the amount raised once again and thanked ev­ery­one who came out to sup­port the swim­mers on the day.

They are al­ready plan­ning for next year’s event.
