A Charity Shave night was held recently in Des McDonagh’s Pub the ‘Bow and Arrow’, Heapstown. Well done to the 12 bearded gents who shaved their recently grown beards to raise money for two very worthy charities. Alzheimer’s Centre in Aughamore received €4,450 and €3,000 was raised for Sligo Cancer Centre. It was a fantastic night and a huge thank you to all who got involved and thank you to everyone who supported the event.
CAKE SALE THANK YOU
The staff and parents of Taunagh NS would like to thank everyone who supported their Christmas Sale on Saturday, December 8. There were cakes, decorations and cards on sale on the day and the school was delighted to welcome the Razor Sharps, who sang a selection of songs. It was a wonderful community event and the money raised will go towards new playground markings.
