Gurteen ‘Save the post office’ committee held a public meeting in Gurteen Hall on last Monday night and a large crowd came out despite the bad weather. There was a presentation of what the committee had done up to now which is very impressive and was followed by a question and answers session with members of the audience. People donated money to the fund to defray outstanding costs and there will be buckets in the local businesses so everyone can help in the campaign to keep the post office in Gurteen. All the many customers of the PO are advised to keep using all the facilities there and avail of Christmas All four One gift cards etc. The committee are looking forward to good news in the new year.
