Participants are sought for heritage programme
SLIGO County Council, as part of the PEACE IV Programme are running a heritage programme throughout 2019. .
The programme will be a series of four historical lectures, four related workshops and finally four site visits/ bus tours.
It will bring together the programme participants with community groups in Northern Ireland to visit sites of historical in County Sligo and County Fermanagh/Tyrone.
Members of the public who have an interest in the history and heritage of Sligo and the surrounding area are invited to participate in the programme.
The programme is free to all participants and there will be a small allowance available to participants to cover travel expenses.
Each participant is required to attend all lectures, workshops and site visits/ bus tours.
The lecture dates are: Wed nesday 16 th, 23rd, 30 th Jan uary and 6 th February at 7pm, at the Yeats Building, Hyde Bridge’ Sligo.
The workshop dates are Wednesday 27 th February and 6 th, 13th and 20 th March at the same venue and also at 7pm.
The dates of the site visits will be confirmed with the particpants.
