2019 club calendars are now on sale in Supervalu, Lavins menswear and Henrys fuel station. They are priced at 10 euro each and contain team pictures from the 2018 season from underage to adult level.

The 25 card playing continues every Sunday evening at 6.30pm in Doddy’s.

DRUMCLIFFE/ROSSES POINT

We have seven club players involved in Summerhill College’s Connacht Junior ‘A’ league final against St Gerald’s this Thursday (January 10th). Good luck to Eoghan & Ciarán Smith, Ciarán O’Reilly, Cian Oates, Desmond Gillen, Hugh Keaney and Josh Brady.

A big thank-you to all club members and supporters who assisted the Oxfield Centre Committee with their recent Christmas Draw. The fundraiser was a big success and the new phase of redevelopm­ent at Oxfield will benefit all local sporting clubs and community groups in the area. A big buladh bos to the Oxfield Centre committee on the success of this fundraisin­g drive. Our Annual Juvenile Awards evening is provisiona­lly fixed for Saturday, January 26th in Rathcormac. The first club meeting of 2019 is Monday, January 28th in the Oxfield Centre at 9pm.

ST MOLAISE GAELS

THE Club would like to wish all Players, Supporters, Members and Sponsors a very Happy New Year. There will be a Club meeting this Tuesday night at 9pm sharp. A good attendance would be appreciate­d. Our next Club Lotto Draw will take place on Tuesday January 22nd. Thanks to everyone who supported our Club Lotto in 2018, those who sell the Lotto and to Supervalu and Londis Grange for their continued support with this important fundraiser.

EASTERN HARPS

WE would like to wish all our members and supporters a happy and prosperous new year. 2019 promises to be an exciting year for the club with the new clubhouse set to open early this year. Bingo continues every Friday night at 8.30pm in Gurteen Hall. Jackpot is €1,900 in 45 calls or less.

ST FARNAN’S

DAMIEN Sweeney (yearly ticket holder) was this week’s winner of €191 in the 50/50 draw. The next draw is on Sunday, January 13. A reminder that €50 will ensure entry into every draw for a year. In 2018 the club paid out over €5,000 in prizes. We appeal to everyone for support as this is a vital fundraiser for the club. A sincere thank you to all who have supported the draw in the last year and we look forward to your continued support. THE club extends best wishes and thanks to Kirsty Murphy as she departs from running The Still Bar. Kirsty and staff were very valued supporters of St. Farnan’s and made the premises available to us on a number of occasions. We wish Kirsty well for the future.

SHAMROCK GAELS

THE annual Bord Ná Nóg awards presentati­on take place on Saturday January 19th in Riverstown Hall at 8.30PM. Winners medals will be presented to the U18 boys, U18 girls, U16 boys and U12 boys along with runners up medals to the U14 boys and U12 girls teams as well as the player of the year awards. John McPartland has been re-appointed as Senior Team manager for the coming year, we wish John well for the year ahead. The club wish to express sympathy with Josephine Taylor on the death recently of her sister Kathleen Hardy, Ballybofey.
