BABY GIRL
More Belated Congratulations: Once again, belated congratulations to Siobhán (Née Mullarkey) and Kevin Hynes on the birth of their second baby daughter, Sophie (a little sister for Kayla) who arrived into this world on November 4, 2018. Also congratulations to both sets of proud grandparents, Eddie and Teresa Mullarkey, Newtownmanor and Kevin and Margaret Hynes of Killurin, Co Offaly; as well as to all uncles and aunts within the extended families. Sophie is yet another beautiful name and very befitting for Siobhán and Kevin’s beautiful daughter.
25 CARD GAME
The Progressive 25 Card Games have recommenced in Newtownmanor Hall on Fridays at 9 p.m. All card players are welcome and we look forward to new members coming along.
PILATES
Classes were finished in Newtownmanor Hall for last term just before Christmas. They should recommence in mid – January 2019. Contact Niamh on Mob. 087 2294500 to book a place.
BINGO
Bingo has restarted on Mondays in the function room of the Blue Devon, Dromahair at 9 p.m. For those of you who are not regulars, it is a great social occasion, as well a fun opportunity to experience the thrill and frustration of getting/not getting the numbers you need. All lines €30, except games 5 and 10, which are €50, all full houses €100 and last game €200. So why not come along and support your local bingo. Who knows you might be lucky.
FITNESS CLASS
There is an adult Beginner fitness/exercise class begins in Drumkeerin indoor Ball Alley tomorrow, Thursday, January 10. Ladies’ class from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Men’s class from 9.10 p.m.; €25 for six weeks. All ages and fitness levels catered for. Make 2019 your year to start your exercise journey.
RURAL TRANSPORT
On Friday evenings and Sunday evenings there is a local link transport service available, to enable individuals to go out and socialise. On Friday evenings, the bus travels from Newtownmanor to Dromahair, via Calry; out at 9 p.m. returning at 12.30 a.m. On Sunday evenings, the bus travels from Newtownmanor to Sligo, via Calry; out at 9 p.m. returning at 12.30 a.m. A return journey costs €8. HALL BOOKINGS
Newtownmanor Hall is available for booking, by adult groups, wishing to organise an event or training. Hall costs are €15 per hour.
