The button accordion player from Co Clare has recorded and toured with a who’s who of the Irish and global music industry. The Hawk’s Well Theatre’s Super Sunday Trad Sessions provide an opportunit­y for teenagers to play traditiona­l music in a family-friendly and relaxed environmen­t, led by the very finest master musicians. The latest instalment takes place on Sunday 13th January, 12.30 - 2pm. Unwind with the Sunday papers, while younger siblings can enjoy and arts & craft activity.

LECOUVREUR - LIVE FROM MET OPERA For the first time at the Met, Anna Netrebko sings the title role of Adriana Lecouvreur, the great 18th-century actress in love with the military hero Maurizio, sung by Piotr Beczala. Gianandrea Noseda conducts Cilea’s tragedy, directed by Sir David McVicar, with the action partially set in a working replica of a Baroque theater. You can see it at Sligo Omniplex on January 12th.

VOICE WORKSHOP

A weekend voice workshop takes place this Saturday and Sunday at The Factory Performanc­e Space. This 2 day workshop will introduce students to the techniques and exercises inherent in Roy hart Vocal Training including diaphragma­tic breathing, projection and breath control. Senior Teacher at the Roy Hart Centre, David Goldsworth­y will conduct this workshop.
