Massey Ferguson the new name in Round Balers

-

FOLLOWING on from AGCO’s acquisition of Lely/Welger earlier last year, Massey Ferguson brings an up dated version of the ever so popular baler. This new baler incorporates the standard specification such as 13, 17 or 25 knife options, camless pick up, Hydro flex floor, drop floor and Mechanical locking back door. The baler has undergone some improvements throughout with the most important of these being a split drive to the back door chain which drives every second roller. This gives increased contact between the sprocket teeth and chain link on the back door.

Following on from the Lely/Welger Tornado combi baler, Massey Ferguson have introduced the New Massey Ferguson Protec combi baler. This baler has been totally re designed with the most noticeable change being the reduced overall height, an 8 degree pitch to the rear with a lower centre of gravity. The Protec unit ensures an easy transfer of the bale from the chamber to the wrapper unit. The wrapper unit has been updated also with rubber rollers either side of the wrapper ring which ensures the wrapper has a positive drive even in the wettest of conditions.
