EASKEY manager Dessie Sloyan spoke honestly after the game, admitting that it was one that didn’t go their way.

“We didn’t perform, that is basically it. Look it we knew coming up here it was a big ask, Munster champions, Kerry champions, Division 1 team in Kerry. We were under no expectations or anything like that but we had great faith in ourselves and our systems and how we could perform and really take the game to Beaufort but unfortunately we just couldn’t get going in that first 10 minutes.

“If you are three or four points down you could possibly come back but the next thing it is 1-3 or 1-4 to a point.

“We just didn’t get going in that first 15 or 20 minutes and that’s what killed us,” Sloyan explained.

Sloyan was adamant that his players are better than what they showed in the first-half.

“I felt bad for the lads at halftime because they are a lot better than what they did show in that first half, they are a way better team.

“And I mean we hadn’t a perfor-
