ROUGEY WALKERS

Since what some people described as the ‘unknown bus’ was discovered last year from Manorhamilton to Bundoran and Ballyshannon that runs on Fridays only, a group of walkers from the North Leitrim town have availed of its services weekly to travel and complete Bundoran’s 4.5k Rougey Walk.

The Manor Rougey Walkers enjoy their weekly climb on the pathway that takes them to the top the Bundoran cliff. As they continue on this circuit route they stop along the way to have refreshments in a popular local café.

In the run up to Christmas and also in the post Christmas period there has been a small fall off in the number of Manor Rougey walkers making the Friday trip to Bundoran to take on the challenge of the Rougey Walk.

As a result the Manor Rougey walkers who have faithfully completed the Bundoran based walk in this period appeal to all their colleagues to rejoin them on this Friday morning, February 15, and they also make a further appeal for new walkers to join them.

The Manor Rougey Walkers remind their colleagues that have been seen for sometime, as well as new walkers, that the Friday Bus Éireann Bundoran bus leaves Manorhamilton’s New Line at 10.30 a.m.
