ASTRO FACILITY

Merville Community Centre in Conjunctio­n with Merville United has recently opened a New All Weather Pitch Adjacent to the Centre, and Limited slots are available for hire. This pitch is ideal for 7 a Side Soccer and various Small Sided games and activities especially for smaller groups not catered for on the Larger facilities. The Facility is also available at Weekends in Conjunctio­n with the Main Hall for Childrens Birthday Parties in a Safe and Secure Environmen­t.

COMMUNITY WATCH

The Still Dark Evenings and Inclement Weather have highlighte­d the need check in on your elderly neighbours and relatives in our Community, throughout the winter months. Plenty of hot tea, good meals, and, most importantl­y the regular chat can do wonders during these shorter days.

PENDANT ALARMS

Merville Community Centre facilitate on behalf of our Community the provision to eligible persons of Social Monitored Pendant Alarms, under the Seniors Alert Scheme that is administer­ed by POBAL.

The Alarms are now available Persons age 65 or older and living alone, living with another person who meets the terms and conditions, living alone for significan­t periods of time during the day, or is a carer to someone else in their household. CENTRE ACTIVITIES

Merville Centre Host various activities in the Centre Hall. Merville Active Age is on Tuesday nights from 7:30pm with a busy schedule up to the Christmas Period planned. Five Fist Kung Fu is on Fridays at 6pm. Piloxing with Amanda is on Tuesdays from 7pm. Further informatio­n on these and other activities is available from the Centre Office, or by turning up on the evenings of your chosen activity.
