ENNISCRONE/ KILGLASS GAA

Indoor underage coaching continues every Friday evening in our astroturf building. Under-eight is from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., under-10 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and under-12 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.

We had a very informativ­e evening at Quigabar last week as Corofin’s Frank Morris visited for a coaching workshop for our club coaches. Frank has been central to Corofin’s success on the field over the past 25 years and passed on some of his expertise to our coaches by taking a training session with our under-10s, before a Q & A session. Thanks once again to Frank for travelling to us. Dinner dance: Tickets for our club dinner dance on February 16 in the Diamond Coast Hotel are now on sale. They are available for €25 from Sheridan’s Kilglass, The Wild Atlantic Inn Kinard and Queenan’s Checkout Enniscrone. Our guest on the evening will be Tyrone legend Seán Cavanagh.

Strength and Conditioni­ng Having been postponed last week due to the poor weather, the indoor strength and conditioni­ng run by Sligo GAA is back this Wednesday evening in our astroturf for 13- to 17-year-olds. It runs from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. and is €15.

There was no winner of last weekend’s blotto draw. The draw continues every weekend next week’s jackpot is €5,200 – and your continued support is greatly appreciate­d.

STRIDERS

Enniscrone Community walking group meets at West Sligo Family Resource Centre. Time 10.45 a.m. Every Tuesday morning walk from 11 a.m.-12 so please come along and enjoy the beautiful scenery around Enniscrone. All.

STORYBOOK TRAIL

Enniscrone Library invites all of the family to read pages of a picture book that are displayed along the hollow at Enniscrone beach. It starts beside the lifeguard tower. The book currently displayed is Tiddler by Julia Donaldson. A different picture book will be displayed here monthly.

ENNISCRONE WALKING CLUB

Walk February 9 is Benbulben, Level is hard Terrain, is Open Mountain, length 5-6 hours. All walks subject to Change pending weather conditions and all walks start from Enniscrone Tourist Office at 9.30 a.m. unless stated otherwise.

LOTTO

There was no winner of the €5,000 jackpot when the blotto draw took place on Saturday, February 2, in the Oceans Sands. Numbers drawn were 6, 29 and 30. €25 winners were Patricia Freeman Grant Brown, Brian Coleman and Paul Hannon. Jackpot for the next draw is €5,200 and will take place in Gilroy’s Bar on Saturday, February 9. school teachers will be in attendance as well as representa­tives of the parents’ associatio­n. New students are also welcome to attend this open evening.

MEALS ON WHEELS

The Easkey Community Meals on Wheels Group are providing hot meals consisting of dinner and Dessert delivered to house door. This service is provided 365 days of the year in the area from Ballisodar­e Bridge to the Quay Road Ballina. Contact 096 49818 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. from Monday to Friday weekly for further details. Also Volunteer Drivers wanted to deliver these meals for two hours approximat­ely once every five weeks at weekend only. Contact the above telephone number if available to help.
