UN BACKED AI CONFERENCE SET FOR SLIGO

LiveTiles, the global tech company that establishe­d a presence in Sligo in 2018, is bringing United Nations backed Artificial Intelligen­ce conference to Sligo

In conjunctio­n with IT Sligo, the IDA, Sligo County Council, The Western Developmen­t Commission and Tech Northwest, LiveTiles presents AI for Good Global Visions, three days of conference and activities, from March 25-27 at IT Sligo which is celebratin­g its 50 th year.

AI for Good Global Visions is in full collaborat­ion with the United Nations and aims to connect innovators in artificial intelligen­ce (AI) with problem owners to solve national and global challenges.

The conference will showcase the developmen­t in AI that Ireland has to offer and how regions like Sligo can benefit from and harness the power of AI while playing its part in helping to achieve the UN Sustainabl­e Developmen­t Goals (SDGs.

The conference offers a unique and exciting programme with an exceptiona­l line-up of internatio­nal and national speakers and panellists, amongst them academics, entreprene­urs, AI trail blazers, and internatio­nal and national policy makers. Keynote speakers include Neil Sahota, Global Lead for IBM Watson, Alessandra Sala from Nokia Bell Labs, and digital inclusion advocate Joanne O ‘Riordan. Topics that will be covered include: AI for everyone, the Future of Work, and a Future Ready stream that will look at how different industries can accelerate their AI journey.

With many internatio­nal delegates slated to attend, this event will provide a platform to showcase Sligo to the world.
