St. Edward’s national School open day

ST. EDWARD’S is a mixed school on Clarion Rd catering for pupils in mainstream classes and an ASD class. The school has a wide range of up to date facilities such as a kitchen, computer suite, extensive library, outdoor pitch, basketball courts and outdoor classroom, and has access to excellent swimming and sports facilities next door. Our teachers provide homework clubs and after school activities 3 afternoons per week. The children benefit from swimming and water safety lessons. CPR/AED training is provided for 4 th to 6 th classes.

St. Edward’s school lunches are available to all. In addition, we are delighted to have obtained extra funding for 2020 from the Department as part of the Book Rental Pilot Scheme which will enable the school to provide school books for free next year for families!

Extensive maths, reading and science resources support individualised children’s learning and excellence has been recognised in a wide number of areas, including: Health Promoting School and Green School status, Discover Primary Maths and Science Awards, Creative Schools Award, Digital School, Sligo Tidy School and Junior Entrepreneur.

St. Edward’s is a Catholic ethos school and also welcomes children of all faiths and none. It prides itself on working hard to meet the needs of individual children.
