BIRTHDAY/RETIREMENT

Best wishes to Liam Martin, who celebrated his 66th birthday last Friday, January 24. Not content with simply celebrating his birthday on the day, Liam also retired from his post as assistant caretaker at the Ursuline College, Sligo; a position he had held for the past 16 years. Clearly, January 24 will hold a great significance in Liam’s life for many years to come. Family, friends and neighbours in the Manor wish Liam, ‘Health and contentment for the future’.

CLOTHES COLLECTION

Your used and unwanted clothes could convert into badly needed sports kits for Leitrim County Girls under-14 GAA Team. Could you take a few minutes and gather even one bag of used clothes? and all together those part worn clothes would make enough money to make a difference to our county sporting girls. Unfortunately we can’t take duvets or pillows, but rest assured old pyjamas and everything else are welcome.

See the list of names and numbers below to find the nearest drop off point to you. If you gather a bag, and need it collected, we can organise that too. Jenny Van der Laan – 087 7665200, Ballinamore; Michelle Dolan – 087 6486804, Aughawillan; Siobhán McHugh – 087 8379276, Carrigallen; Angela McCormack – 087 9844097, Drumshanbo/Drumkeerin. Thanks for your support, it is really appreciated.
