Killeenduff National School enrolment/open week for September 2020 will take place February10 to 14 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the school. Please feel free to pop in and see our facilities and meet the staff if your child is starting school next September.

Easkey GAA will hold an awards night and presentation of medals to the under-21 footballers and Easkey/St Farnan’s hurlers on the Saturday, February 8, at 9 p.m. in the Castle Inn, Easkey.
WESTERN GAELS
Western Gaels hurling club will hold a presentation for players on Saturday, February 8, at 6 p.m. at the astroturf Pitch in Quigabar.
RATHLEE NS OPEN EVENING
An open evening will take place at Rathlee National School on Wednesday, February 12, from 6.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.
The children will have an opportunity to play and to see their classroom. You will have the opportunity to meet their teacher, chat to other parents, see our facilities and have a cup of tea.

EUGENE CURLEY R.I.P.
The death has taken place of Eugene Curley, Carrowpadden, Rathlee. His funeral Mass was celebrated in St James Church, Easkey followed by burial in Roslea Cemetry. Sympathy is extended to his wife Rosaleen, daughters Mary, Michelle and Sinéad, son Gene, sisters Berna and Emily, inlaws, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

WELL DONE CLAIRE
Well done to sixth year student Claire Dunne from Coláiste Iascaigh, who represented Colaiste Iascaigh on the Connacht team at the Schools Interprovincial Ladies’ Gaelic football tournament in Kinnegad. After beating Leinster and Ulster, they lost to a strong Munster side in the Cup final. Claire was captain of the Connacht team.
SAFE TALK
A Safe Talk training course will be held in Dromore West Community Centre on February 20, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Booking is essential, contact Gregory at 087 3329392.
This training is suitable for anyone over 18 who wants to help prevent suicide and is prepared to become suicide alert.
CARD GAME
A card game takes place in Easkey in the school beside the church on Sundays at 8.30. Proceeds for the upgrade works of the Cemetry. Results from last week are as follows.
