BRIGHT MINDS PRESCHOOL
The Avalon Centre operates a Preschool and School age Childcare Service called Bright Minds. The Preschool operates from 9.15 a.m. to 12.15 p.m. and the School Age Childcare from 1.30 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday, September-June. Bright Minds are providers of the ECCE scheme and the National Childcare scheme offering free Preschool spaces. We still have places for FULL TIME DAY CARE starting September 2020. SENSORY ROOM
We are delighted to announce that our Sensory Room is now finished. We want to say a huge thank you to our brilliant staff members Willy Monaghan and Antonio Miguel for bringing this project to completion. ACTIVITY CLUBS
We are currently running a Little Bakers Club for children age 6-10 and a Magic Workshop for 10 years +on Tuesday night. Both of these clubs will run for a six-week period and we intend to introduce more activity clubs in the future so stay tuned.
YOUTH CLUBS
Our Youth Clubs have resumed. Our Junior Youth Club meets on Wednesdays from 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Senior Youth Club meets on Thursdays from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
PARENT AND TODDLER GROUP
Our parent and toddler group takes place on Monday mornings from 10.30 a.m. to midday. Parents, grandparents and carers are all welcome. There is always a warm welcome with tea, coffee and refreshments provided. €3 per family.
SELF-DEFENCE CLASSES
Krav Maga self-defence classes are running on Wednesdays, from 8 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. Contact 087 0659709 for more details.
BINGO
Bingo continues every Friday night from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Double books cost €15, single books €10, half books €5 and single sheets €1. There is also a raffle and a 50/50 draw on the night.
BOWLING
The Avalon Centre Bowling Club meets every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the centre. Just call in on the day.
