Ardkeeran National School Enrolment for Ardkeeran National School, Riverstown will take place on Friday, February 14, from 3.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. Parents and children wishing to enrol for September 2020 are welcome to attend. CHURCH GATE

The Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann annual county church gate collection will be taken up on Saturday, 15 and Sunday, February 16. Any support would be greatly appreciated.

SOCIAL DANCE CLASSES

Dancing Classes with award-winning Professional Social Dance Teacher Niall Doorhy, will start in the Morrison Teach Ceoil on Sunday, February 16. This is a four-week course from 3 p.m. to 4.15 p.m.

COOLBOCK NS ENROLMENT EVENING

SHAMROCK GAELS

The club’s annual dinner dance takes place on Friday, February 21, in the Clayton Hotel. Tickets are available from committee members. Tickets are now in circulation for the annual club draw with 20 great prizes including a first prize of a Renault Clio. Tickets are €10 each available from any club member. COMMUNITY GAMES

Riverstown Community Games Art competition will take place on Friday, March 13, at 6 p.m. in Ardkeernan NS Swimming will take place in Sligo Sports Complex at on Saturday, March 14, at 8 p.m. Swimmers should be pool-side at 7.45 p.m. Athletics Day is provisionally set for Sunday, May 10. SLIGO FOLK PARK

Social Club meeting every Wednesday morning 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. €5 per person. Café open daily Monday to Friday 8.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Daily two-course special only €10. GLEANN REUNION

The Gleann reunion committee have been overwhelmed by the response of people who sent in articles, photos, short stories etc for the book. Material for the book is now being sorted and everything is finding its place in the book. The committee are hard at work and the excitement is growing in our wider community too. Remember to keep Sunday, April 12, free for the launch and reunion of past pupils. With this in mind and as the book will soon be going to print, anyone who would like to sponsor the book in any way may do so now and all sponsors will be acknowledged in the book.
