DYSLEXIA HELP GROUP
Dyslexia is a problem that some children and adults have with writing, reading, etc.
The Dyslexia Association of Ireland defines dyslexia as ‘a specific learning difficulty which makes it hard for some people to learn to read, write and spell correctly.’.
Locally help with dyslexia difficulties is provided by the Dyslexia at Bay Sligo/Leitrim/Donegal group, whose mission is to ‘assist both the parents and the child who has dyslexia.
‘The programme teaches the child who has dyslexia a different way to learn spellings, tables and read, etc. The programme also teaches the parent how to teach their own child successfully.
‘So it’s a win win for everybody. The Dyslexia at Bay programme will help you and your child to complete their homework in less time and more effectively.
‘This programme is also suitable for adults who have dyslexia; if you would like to contact Dyslexia at Bay Sligo/Leitrim/Donegal and find out a little more about the programme you can ring 083 4426452 or private message on Facebook Dyslexia at Bay Sligo/ Leitrim/Donegal or email spellandreadbetter@hotmail.com.’
