SYMPATHY
Sympathy is extended to Aggie Flynn Ballymonean on the death of her sister Mrs Kathleen Lynn (née Ruane) Lord Edward St Ballina and late of Ballymonean, Enniscrone, sympathy also to sisters-in-law Mary and Kathleen, brother-in-law Frank Lynn (Crossmolina), nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Removal took place from McGowan’s Funeral Home Ballina last Tuesday evening to St Patrick’s Church Ballina. Burial took place after Mass of the Resurrection on Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. to St Tiernan’s Cemetery, Crossmolina, Co Mayo. May she rest in peace.

Rainbows Ireland has been providing peer support to Irish children on how to deal with loss from bereavement, separation, and divorce. Our annual club dinner dance takes place next Saturday, February 15, in the Diamond Coast Hotel. Tickets are currently available from any committee member, Sheridan’s Kilglass and Checkout Enniscrone.
Our special guest on the night will be Corofin footballer Dylan Wall, who has strong connections to the area. We will be presenting all our usual awards on the night, so get your tickets for what promises to be a great night.

WESTERN GAELS HURLING CLUB
A wonderful evening was had by all at our annual underage presentation. Thanks to Quigabar for the use of the astroturf facilities, to all the parents who braved Storm Ciara and came out in such numbers andto our special guest a true gentleman Sligo Hurling Captain for 2020, Niall Feehily, who spent so much time with the kids and parents and talked to all. A young man who will go far. And last but not least thanks to Western Gaels Committee for hosting such a wonderful event. The future of Hurling is bright when you see our underage boys.

SCOIL CHRIOST RI ENNISCRONE
The Diamond Coast Hotel hosted this main fundraising event for Scoil ChriostRi, on.
Thursday, February 6, organised by the 2019-2020 parents’ association. It was a fantastic night. All went home with lots of wonderful recipes and ideas and lovely crafted gifts for their families and friends.
There are so many people to thank but on behalf of the staff and board of management of Scoil Chriost Ri and the parents’ association, we’d like to acknowledge our appreciation to the following.

The Scoil Chríost Rí’s Family Favourites Cookbook 2020 was launched on the night. This was a first for our school and is proving to be hugely popular. It will also be available in the school and in shops in Enniscrone to buy at a cost of €10.There was an array of stall holders at the event, each displaying their beautiful work and we extend our thanks to these hard-working artisans who kindly worked to enhance their stalls and explain their craft to all present and kindly donated spot prizes to the event.
A huge thank you to the business community of Enniscrone and beyond who placed a large number of advertisements in our complimentary recipe booklet. Final thanks to SuperValu, The Diamond Coast Hotel and Tommy Battle, who also sponsored ingredients for the cooks. Funds raised by the parents’ association from this event will go to defray the costs of the improvements at the school.
WINDMILL PLAYERS
Our show is called ‘ WANTED – One Body.’ and is a hilarious murder-mystery. The final two performances of this show will be in Ballina Arts Centre on February 22 and 23. Tickets are available by contacting Ballina Arts Centre.
