ST. MOLAISE GAELS

THE 2020 football season gets underway this weekend when our senior men under management of Jimmy Langan make the trip to Seamus Donegan Park Coola to take on Shamrock Gaels in the preliminar­y round of the Kiernan Cup. The game throws in at 2.00pm. We wish the squad and Management Team every success for the season ahead.

OUR scheduled Club Lotto draw has been deferred to next Monday March 2nd at 8.30pm in the Clubhouse. The Jackpot now stands at €6,100. Our Lotto stand will be in SuperValu this weekend. Thanks to all for their continued support for this important Club fundraiser. THIS Saturday morning at 10.15am in the Clubhouse our Mini Stars 5 Week Fun Fitness Programme for 4 and 5 year old Boys and Girls continues. OUR “Operation Transforma­tion Programme has now come to a conclusion after 7 weeks of Circuits Classes, Group Walks and weekly weigh ins. Sincere thanks to our Healthy Club Committee on the excellent Programne they put in place, their organisati­on and management of all the Events involved. It has been a huge success and hopefully will become an annual feature of our Club activities. IF anyone has old clothes they no longer need the Club would be delighted to receive same as part of our annual “Cash for Clobber” fundraiser. Bags can be left in or at the Club Buildings at any time and will be taken in and stored. ST. NATHY’S

The 2020 season has got back to a strong start with our senior team securing their first win of the year against St Marys in Kent park on Sunday last. Thank you to St Marys who were able to accommodat­e the game with a field in great conditions after all this unwelcomed weather in recent weeks.

Ballinalac­k Community Park will be hosting a race night on Saturday 29th February in Foleys bar. All support is welcomed in an effort to raise funds for work to be done on the facilities they provide.

The club would like to reach out to anybody interested in getting involved with our u-16 team this year. Please contact any member in the club, your help is greatly appreciate­d.
