Alleged trespassing to commit theft at house

A 24-year-old man appeared before Sligo District Court via video link from Castlerea Prison on Thursday last.

John McDonagh of 24, Brookfield, Ballinode was before the court for one charge of trespassing a house to commit theft.

It is alleged McDonagh trespassed 27 Brookfield on January 18th last and committed theft therein.

The court was told a charge of theft of a Samsung phone was being withdrawn by the prosecution.

Sergeant Derek Butler told the court there may be additional further charges in relation to Mr McDonagh.

Judge Kevin Kilrane adjourned the matter to June 11 th next for service of the Book of Evidence and for the addition of further possible charges.
