SCOR – 30TH ANNIVERSARY

This April marks 30 years since the drama group representing Tourlestrane GAA Club were declared all-Ireland Winners of the Senior Scor Novelty Act Section, with a sketch called HEAVEN HELP US, written and performed by group members Tommy and Mary Marren, Irene Walsh, Pat Feely, Michael Collins and Tom Walsh.

A large group of supporters travelled with them to Dublin for the final that day in April 1990 and there was great excitement when the results was announced.

That night will live long in the memory for all involved in the production, those who travelled to support them and the GAA club and community.

Sympathy is extended to the family, neighbours and friends of Jimmy Gavaghan, Stonepark, Aclare, who died recently. May his soul rest in peace.
