ENNISCRONE-KILGLASS UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB
As part of community keep active Sports Ireland has launched an initiative to take up the 12-minute challenge. It’s in collaboration with a number of national sporting bodies, including the FAI.
It is part of the operation transformation on RTÉ. See sportireland.ie/covid19/walktokeepwell for more details.
Runkeeper is the app I use with the family and find it easy to use and share your progress. Even today, with temperatures barely above freezing, it is hard to motivate yourself but once you wrap up and get going it does us all a world of good.
ENNISCRONEKILGLASS GAA
AGM – Our annual general meeting is scheduled to take place online over Zoom on Friday, February 26, at 8 p.m. Details and nomination forms have been circulated in recent weeks. Please get in touch if you need any further information.
2021 season – following the GAA announcement last week, there will be no activity till Easter.
While this is disappointing, we must remain conscious of the severity of the public health situation at present.
As we wait for a return to the playing fields, we would encourage all our younger players to keep up their own individual skills practice at home.
Clubhouse – progress on the new clubhouse at Quigabar has been halted somewhat due to the restrictions currently in place.
Work will resume when things ease off and government measures are scaled down – hopefully in the near future.
Coaching – a number of our club coaches have engaged in very beneficial workshops (held online) with local Games Promotion Officer Stephen Henry in recent weeks.
Thanks also to Ross Donovan for providing a coaching session for nursery kids across the county on social media every Wednesday.
Club shop – if you are looking forany club gear ahead of the new season, find a vast array of items at https://www.oneills.com/ shop-by-team/gaa/ireland/enniscrone-kilglass.html
Fifteen per cent of every purchase will go to the club.
