ENNISCRONE-KILGLASS UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB

We are proud to announce KEUFC has been awarded the FAI club mark one star award.

A lot of hard work went into this by the committee in meeting the criteria to achieve this award. With this only being introduced this yea, we are one of the first clubs in the country to achieve this. We are hopeful of a presentation when restrictions allow in the summer at our grounds. Happier times ahead.

KILGLASS PARISH COMMUNITY CENTRE

Tune in live on Wednesday, March 17, for the ‘Kilglass St Patrick’s Day Virtual Parade of Song’.

In line with Covid-19 restrictions, we have invited groups and individuals from around the area to get involved in our virtual concert.

As we cannot gather to celebrate our national feast day, we will connect using social media and the talent from the area.

Here is the line-up so far: Enniscrone-Kilglass GAA, Kilglass/ Enniscrone United FC, Sheridan’s Bar Kilglass, Hilltop Service Station, Members of the Local Ceoltas, Caroline and Mark Gilroy, Local Irish Dancers and more to be announced over the coming weeks.

This is a fundraiser for our new Community Centre. We have recently adapted the plans to incorporate office space in line with the trend towards remote working. We expect to have planning through later this spring. We will keep you informed.

There are no tickets for our event, instead it will be broadcast live on Facebook and we will make a GoFundMe page available to accept donations which will go towards the development of the community centre.

In these strange times, we hope that this event will lift everyone’s spirits and help us to connect, no matter where we are in the world, through song, dance and fun.

As part of our virtual concert on St Patrick’s Day (live at 7 p.m.), we would like to feature photos and videos from our friends and family who cannot travel home to visit at this time.

Please tag friends and family to let them know. Images and short videos can be sent privately to the Facebook page or emailed to Kilglass.CommunityCouncil@gmail.com.

ENNISCRONE-KILGLASS GAA – EOGHAN RUA

Our local ladies’ football club, Eoghan Rua, are looking for a new set of jerseys and are asking for your support to achieve that.

All you have to do is download the Lidl plus app (pictured) on your phone and every time you spend €30 in Lidl, ask the cashier to scan your app and Eoghan Rua will get a token.

They require a total of 300 tokens and they can be collected at any stage over the next eight weeks. Eoghan Rua would appreciate your support.
