COMMUNITY GAMES COMPETITIONS

Community Games Art competition will take place on Friday, April 12, at 6 p.m. in Ardkeeran NS. Handwriting and Model-making will take place on Sunday, April 14, at 1 p.m. in Sooey NS Athletics will take place on Sunday, May 26, in Riverstown Community Park. PARK FUNDRAISING

Riverstown Community Park is a wonderful amenity to have in the area. Last April, lights were added making it safe for use in the winter months. There are ongoing costs associated with the park such as insurance, water charges, electricity, refuse collection and general maintenance. Thank you to local groups Shamrock Gaels, Arrow Harps, Community Games and the Agricultural Show for their yearly contribution to running costs. However, there is always a shortfall. This is an appeal to walkers who use the park on a regular basis to consider becoming a friend of Riverstown Community Park for as little as €5 a month to help ensure this excellent amenity will be maintained into the future. APRIL CONCERT

Riverstown Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann presents Ryan Sheridan, Conor McDonagh, Sinéad Johnston and Conor Connolly in concert on Saturday, April 20, in the Morrison Cottage, Riverstown at 8.30 p.m. Admission is €15 on the door and refreshments will be served. Featuring special guest dancers from Bróga Bríomhar Dance School.
