CURRACLOE SCHOOL NEWS
Well done to Caitlin Rossiter and Elisha Donovan who won prizes in the Credit Union poster competition. WALKING CLUB
On Sunday November 18 there is a walk at the John Murray Show in Bunclody. Members to meet at 9 a.m at the Shelmalier GAA pitch to pool cars. This is a 3 hour walk and very scenic. On Wednesday, November 21 there is a walk from the pool at Ferrybank at 7 p.m. The Ladies in Shape” mid week walk at the Raven to commence shortly. CROCHET/KNITTING CLASSES
Anyone interested in Crochet and Aran Knitting classes (for beginners) should contact Ruth on 087-2407789 for bookings. Classes can be held morning and evening to suit members. These classes will be held in Hotel Curracloe.
WORKSHOPS IN BALLYVALOO
A Workshop on dealing with bereavement will be presented by Brid Carroll on November 24 at Ballyvaloo Retreat centre. The course will run from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and costs €40. A Day of Mindfulness takes place at Ballyvaloo on November 25 and presented by Colm Hewitt. This is an opportunity to take time out for ourselves and to become present to how we are. SOCCER
The Bridge Rovers Under 10's had a wet start to their away game to Glynn/Barntown but it didn't dampen their goal scoring with Barry Cloake getting a hat-trick, Mark Scallan ( 2) Jakub Mastek and Conor Curtin getting 1 each respectively and going on to defeat their opponents 7 - 3 with Glynn/Barntown scoring 2 in the final minutes of the game.
ANNUAL MASS
The annual Shelmalier GAA clubs 1910 mass will take place in Castlebridge church on Sunday next, November 18 at 10.30 a.m. This is an important occasion in the clubs calendar where all past members of the club who have passed away are remembered. All club members past and present are encouraged to attend. The mass will conclude with the laying of a wreath at the 1910 monument outside the church.
GAA CLUB NOTES
With Christmas fast approaching what better present for people of all ages than some fashionable sporting gear and clothing from the Shelmalier sports shop in Hollymount. Those wishing to place orders in the shop in time for Christmas are asked to go along to the shop on Wednesday next, November 14 between 6 and 8 p.m where they can fill in the special order form. There will also be a special Christmas sale on Wednesday of existing gear in the shop where some fantastic bargains are on offer on a first come basis.
All roads lead to Hollymount on Sunday next, November 18 when the Shelmalier ladies take on the might of the Monaghan champions in the All Ireland football semifinal. The match will commence at 1.30 p.m. This is an important occasion for all in Hollymount as it's rarely that the club are asked to host such a prestigious event. All players, officials, mentors and members who use Hollymount are asked to assist on the day. Everyone in the parish would like to wish captain Kate Kelly and all her fellow team members every success on Sunday next.
There were no winners of the Shelmalier Lotto last week and the numbers drawn were 16, 18, 27 and 29. There were two match 3 winners, Aine Lacey and Ciara Donohoe.
This week's lotto stands at an incredible €11,000 which would be a nice Christmas present for any lucky winner. So get your lotto tickets as early as possible to be in with a chance to win this great prize.
HISTORY BOOK

CAMOGIE NEWS
Congratulations to Kate Kelly and Katrina Parrock on winning a fantastic sixth and third All Star award respectively in the Citywest hotel recently. The St. Ibars/Shelmalier Camogie club are very proud of the fact that they are the only Wexford club to supply two players for the team. Well done ladies.
Best of luck to the Shelmalier ladies football team as they take on Donaghmoyne of Monaghan (Ulster winners) in the All Ireland semi final in Hollymount at 1.30 p.m.on Sunday next. Your support is always appreciated.
The club will hold their annual bag packing weekend on Thursday, November 29, Friday, November 30, and Saturday, December 1 in Dunnes Stores. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
The U13 camogie girls played Oulart/The Ballagh in the Blitz final on Friday, November 2 in Oulart/The Ballagh. After a great performance from both teams Oulart/The Ballagh won by a point. The Ibars girls received certificates for taking part and refreshments were served.
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Castlebridge Handball club are holding their annual general meeting on Tuesday, November 20 at 8 p.m. in the community centre in Castlebridge. All members are urged to attend.

The sixth prize (washing machine or dish washer or €500) went to Willie and Joanne Murphy, Ballinamorragh, Curracloe (seller W. Murphy) The 14th prize (ladies or gents watch or fashion voucher or €150) went to Kate Murphy, 4 Rose Rock terrace, Waterloo Road, Wexford (seller Thomas Murphy).
