CAMROSS DRAMA GROUP
The group had great success in the C.A.T. club in Cork last weekend winning the One Act confined section with Mike Banville taking the best actor award with Des Waters' play 'Billy the Member'. We await the result of Haulbowline at time of going to press. The group will perform in Gorey Little Theatre on this Thursday 15th November at 8pm and will contest the Goresbridge festival on Saturday 17th November. The best of luck to all involved.
The group will perform in Enniscorthy on Friday 23rd November in Presentation centre on Nunnery Rd. with ‘Billy the Member', Last Tango in Little Grimley' and 'Last Straw for Farmer Brown’ at 8pm with €10 adm. and will be in Tagh/Cam GAA complex on Thursday 29th November. More drama news next week.
DANCING AT CAMROSS
Eddie Rowe and Pat Hogan will have all dancing enthusiasts tripping the light fantastic at the Dec. dance in Camross Ballroom which will be held on Friday 7th December. Admission is €8 inc. Tea.
CHRISTMAS WONDERLAND
Santa, Mama Claus and of course Rudolph will make their way to the Christmas Wonderland in Camross on Sunday 2nd December, starting time will be 1.30pm.
There will of course be loads of stalls with Christmas cakes, puddings mince pies, Christmas wreaths, Bric a Brac, Wood Turning, Jewellary, Antiques ,Christmas raffle and lots more. If you would be interested in hiring a table to sell your wares please contact Breda Nolan at 0876259126.

The November meeting was held in the Old School, Caroreigh on Monday 5th Novemberlast. Two new members, Bridie Kelly Doyle and Joanne Watchorn were welcomed by guild President Marian Donnelly. Mary Margt Roche and Peggy Doyle thanked all for supporting their Coffee Day for Wexford Hospice Homecare and total raised was approx €930.
Final arrangements were made for Camross Senior Citizens party which will be held on Sunday 25th November in Tagh/Cam GAA complex starting at 1.30pm. Members were informed of next Wellness evening which will be held in Loch Garman Arms hotel, Gorey on Thursday 29th November at 8pm.
Five guild members will travel on Federation trip to see musical 'Oliver' in Bord Gais Theatre on Wednesday 12th Dec. Patchwork classes will commence on Wednesday 14th November from 7.30 to 9.30pm. Some members present expressed an interest in forthcoming computer classes, organised by Wexford federation and will be held next Spring.
The guild will hold a Bric a Brac stall at the Christmas Wonderland in Camross hall on 2nd December to help raise funds to defray cost of Senior citizens party. The Guild's Christmas night out will be held in Stanville Hotel on Sun. 16th December at 6.30pm. Competition for nicest Clutch bag was won by Mary Margt Roche with raffle winners also Mary Margt and Dympna Kelly. Thanks to Majella Colfer and Mary Byrne Kelly for providing a delicious tea. Marie Stafford gave a most interesting and informative talk on physical and mental well being prior to the meeting and the annual Ecumenical service for deceased members and families of members followed the meeting.
Thanks was extended to Rev. Nicola Halford, new curate of Wexford Union of Parishes and Fr. David Murphy both of whom presented a most meaningful Ecumenical Prayer Service. Next meeting will be held on Monday 3rd December at 8pm in Camross Hall.
TAGHMON'S GOT TALENT
Heats are on in Alec Foley's, Newbawn, Friday 16th November in Ryan's, Galbally and Saturday 17th November in Taghmon/Camross GAA Community Centre, Taghmon (this is the final heat night so the winners and wild cards from all pubs will be announced at the end of this show).
Final night is Saturday 24th November at the Stanville Hotel. Tickets are €10, available from any committee member or any of the participating pubs. Great nights entertainment guaranteed. Please support as all proceeds are in aid of Hospice.
UNDERAGE SOCCER
The U11 Boys were away to New Ross Town and after a going a goal down fought hard to get back into the game 1-4 at half time, In the second half the home team scored 3 goals two of which were very late in the game to finish the game 44. This was another good result for the boys who have gone 3 games unbeaten.
U13 Boys unfortunately were beaten 6-2 to Gorey Rangers. U12 GirlsThe girls beat Gorey Celtic 5-0 last Sat morning. The team were short a number of players so this was a great result and a special word of thanks to Caoimhe McLoughlin an 8 year old who made her u12 debut. Scorers on the day were Mairead Nolan Niamh Lacey, Laura Butler and Emma Clarke (2).
ATHLETICS
Well done to Taghmon AC Coaches Teresa Furlong and Gillian Kelly who recently attended a Circuit training course in New Ross recently. This endeavour was supported by Sports Active Wexford, An Irish Sport Council Initiative.
COMMUNITY GAMES
Following the Area AGM of Taghmon Community Games, it was decided to hold an “expression of interest night” for the various Community Games activities. If your child is interested in participating in any of these events or activities, please attend an information meeting on Thursday 15th November at 8pm in the GAA Community Centre, Taghmon. Congratulations to Nicholas Murphy on winning the Irish Grade A Championship Men's Singles Title last weekend. In the U15/U17 Juvenile Blitz held in Enniscorthy we had some excellent results - U17 Boys Singles - Declan Carroll, U15/U17 Boys Doubles - Ryan & Brandon Cogley, U17 Mixed Doubles Winners Clodagh Dempsey/Brandon Cogley. Well done to all. The Charity Tournament will kick off in Clonroche Hall on Wednesday 14th with the Div. 6 Mens Singles. In the mixed league Taghmon's Div. 3 Group B Team were defeated by Shelbourne A 4/6.

MEN'S BREAKFAST MORNING continues on Friday mornings from 9:30 am til 12:00 noon. New male members are always welcome.
COOKERY FOR MEN: continues on Monday evenings from 7:15pm to 8:45pm and there are still some places available. This class is for men who would like to learn some basic cookery skills. Please contact the Centre or come along on Monday evening.
COUNSELLING: If you would like to make an appointment please call Trish on 087 7719984. This service operates on a voluntary basis and we ask for a ?5 donation per session.
WEDNESDAY'S WOMENS GROUP: This group is for women of all ages who are interested in positive well-being. If you would like any further information please contact the Centre or come along on Wednesday at 10:30am. Cost is €5 per week.
