SENIORS NIGHT OUT

Our Lady's Island/ Tacumshane Senior's Host Night will take place on Thursday next, 15th November in Danby Lodge. Bus leaving the Island at 7p.m.

BOOK LAUNCH

Author Jim Parle, Drinagh will launch his book Our Sporting Past (1877-1967) in the Riverside Park Hotel, Enniscorthy on Wednesday, 14th November at 8p.m.

Featured in Jim's book is Paddy Sinnot, Broadway who took three Leinster longjump titles in a very successful career. His cousin, Jess Purcell was also a useful athlete and others to make their mark were George Codd, Tom Coleman (cyclist), Jack Parle and Jack Devereux. The latter and Tommy Marley were competent occiials for many years. The great tug-o-war teams from Our Lady's Island and Tacumshane are also well covered in the book.

Notice of a General Meeting of all members of Our Lady's Island G.A.A. Club on Saturday next, 17th November at 4.30p.m. in the Community Hall.

YOUTH CLUB A.G.M.

The A.G.M. for Our Lady's Island Youth Club will take place on Tuesday, 20th November at 8p.m. in the Community Hall. It is very important that parents, senior leaders and junior leaders attend. Youth Club is very important in our parish and we need parents to take responsibility to keep it going. Should only take about 1 hour and then cup of tea afterwards.

NIALL MELLON TOWNSHIP

The tenth annual Niall Mellon Township Trust building blitz takes place in South Africa from 10th to 18th November. Local volunteer, Mary Moloney, wishes to thank sincerely, all those who supported her throughout the past year while she raised funds to be a part of this unique experience. Family, friends and neighbours gave willingly of their time, good humour and money. All of your generosity is very much appreciated.

SENIORS SAFETY
