Coueron call to Wexford businesses

-

Dear Editor,

We, the Wexford Chamber, have been asked to assist in placing a small number of French students in Wexford retail, electrical or restaurant type businesses from May 5 until May 18. A girl from Wexford is working with Coueron Council and together we are hoping to organise a two-way exchange of students over the coming years.

The town of Coueron has been twinned with Wexford since 1982. Wexford Borough Council, through the Mayor, maintains a strong relationship with Coueron and both communities have benefited over the years.

The students coming to Wexford will be well minded and will be staying with host families within the town. It is to give them some experience in dealing with the public through the use of English in a safe business/retail environment that the Chamber has been asked to help. There will be no costs involved.

I would be delighted if we as a community could respond positively to this request. If you are interested, please contact me in the Chamber Offices on 053 9122226.

Many Thanks, Madeleine Quirke, Chief Executive Officer, Wexford Chamber.
