SPEEDY RECOVERY

Good wishes for a speedy recovery to Séamus Kehoe, Kereight, Crossabeg, who is recuperati­ng at home following an operation in the Mater hospital, Dublin.

CONDOLENCE­S

We extend our condolence­s to Fergus and Celine Moore, Artramon Heights, on the death of baby Katie, whose funeral took place following Mass of the Angels to Crossabeg cemetery on Saturday last. R.I..P.

GENERAL MEETING

A general meeting of Crossabeg Old community centre at Kyle, will be held in the community centre on Tuesday, October 18, at 8 p.m. Any organisati­on who intends to avail of the facilities at the centre are asked to have a representa­tive present at this meeting. This is an open meeting and everyone is welcome along to discuss the future of the centre.

ATHLETICS

Juvenile training takes place in the community field every Monday and Thursday evening from seven to 8.15 p.m. till further notice. Members will be notified when the venue will change to the community centre. Anyone interested in joining up for training at the Raven, Curracloe, on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. are most welcome.

CHARITY AUCTION

There was a very good response from the parish to the recent charity auction which was held at the community centre. Thanks to all who provided items for sale on the day and all who helped out in any way. Proceeds will go towards the building of a hall adjacent to the church.

55+CLUB

The local 55+ club are back in action at Kyle Forge. Existing and new members are most welcome. The group meet between 2 and 4 p.m every Tuesday afternoon.
