OLD SCHOOL CARDS

On Tuesday, October 4, four people tied for first place, Liam Wright, Kitty Corish, Brian O’Leary and Tom Gaul all with two games each, Kitty Corish won the steak. Cards every Tuesday in the Old Hall 8.30 sharp, €5 admin, winner takes % pot, tea coffee all welcome

MELLON EDUCATE

A fundraisin­g Variety Show in aid of Mellon Educate takes place this Friday, October 14, at 8.30 p.m. in Riverbank House Hotel. Admission €10. Your support is very much appreciate­d by Volunteer Mary Moloney. ALL money raised help to build a school in an impoverish­ed township in South Africa. A great night is promised.

RECYCLE OLD CLOTHES

Recycle your unwanted clothing and help raise money for Broadway NS Good quality clothing, bedding (sheets, pillow cases, duvet covers, blankets), curtains, towels, hats, belts, handbags and shoes (please tie shoes together using laces). NO soiled items, duvets or pillows. Please drop off your bagged clothing at the school any time up to Friday, October 21.

Fr Nolan will return to the parish on Thursday, November 3, for a social evening in the Community Centre. A presentati­on will be made to him, and during the coming week, envelopes will be delivered to every house to enable all to contribute as they wish. The envelopes will be collected a week later.
