It’s springtime and Christmas on the quayfront!
SPRING is in the air on Wexford quayfront with only a few weeks to go until Christmas!
Richard John Kuhn couldn’t believe his eyes when strolling on the quayfront last week.
Some of the trees are sprouting new leaves already, after shedding the last of the autumn ones just recently.
‘This was very unusual to see. There was beautiful sunshine at the time and it was warm’, said Richard, a native of Cape Town, South Africa who has been living since March in Wexford where he has family connections.
After taking some photographs as proof, he said :‘I hope it makes people aware of how the climate is changing. In Wexford I noticed the similarity to South African coastal erosion (with out of season plant growths!) and specifically damage south of Rosslare and from Wexford to the Wildfowl Reserve and North Slob, behind the dyke’.
