Choir Prac­tice for Christ­mas Eve Mass, will take place on De­cem­ber 4 from 7.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. and each Mon­day there­after. It is hoped that all the reg­u­lar choir mem­bers as well as some new­com­ers come to the prac­tice. Chil­dren from Third Class and up­wards are wel­come to join the choir.


The school cal­en­dar was launched re­cently and has been highly praised. It will be a fan­tas­tic keep­sake for the years ahead as well as be­ing an ex­cel­lent Christ­mas gift for fam­ily and friends. Prices are €8 for one, €15 for two and €20 for three cal­en­dars.


Ou­lart-The Bal­lagh GAA will hold its AGM on Fri­day, Jan­uary 12. De­tails will be pub­lished later. The Coiste na nÓg endof-year meet­ing will be held in Ou­lart Com­mu­nity Cen­tre on Sun­day, De­cem­ber 17, start­ing at 8 p.m. All club mem­bers, adult and un­der­age men­tors, coaches, par­ents/guardians are en­cour­aged to at­tend.


A meet­ing will be held in Ou­lart Com­mu­nity Cen­tre, on Tues­day, De­cem­ber 5, be­gin­ning at 7.30 p.m., with a view to set­ting up a Car­diac Re­sponse Unit. Con­tact Vickie Dunne (087 7780749) for fur­ther in­for­ma­tion.


Ev­ery Tues­day at 8 p.m., a group of peo­ple in­ter­ested in prac­tis­ing and learn­ing crafts such as knit­ting, cro­chet, em­broi­dery etc, meet in Marty’s Bar, Ou­lart. All crafts and craft prac­ti­tion­ers are wel­come to drop in and join the group.


Míle buíochas to ev­ery­one who at­tended and sup­ported the re­cent book fair in the school. A huge vol­ume of books was pur­chased and the school earned €800 worth of books for the class­room li­braries and teacher re­sources.

The 2018 cal­en­dar was also launched dur­ing the Book Fair and the cal­en­dars con­tinue to be sold in Bob’s shop, the post of­fice and from the school of­fice. Funds raised will be put to good use in the school. Thank you as al­ways for your sup­port.
