Do­na­tion or­der for man who shouted at bus driver

A ROW with a bus driver led to the District Court pros­e­cu­tion for a public or­der of­fence of pas­sen­ger James Con­nolly (53) of 11 Na Sean Gear­raí, En­nis­cor­thy.

Gar­daí were called to New­town Road in Wex­ford on De­cem­ber 5, 2016 af­ter Con­nolly shouted abuse at the driver who drove off be­fore he had the chance to alight.

Con­nolly, de­scribed as di­vorced, un­em­ployed and fa­ther of two adult chil­dren, had no pre­vi­ous con­vic­tions.

The judge of­fered him the op­por­tu­nity to keep his clean record by mak­ing a €150 con­tri­bu­tion to char­ity by June 19 John J Kelly is a mul­ti­ple award-win­ning poet from En­nis­cor­thy.
