€4,300 raised by Tesco staff

-

BAKERS across Wexford rose to the challenge raising €4,300 in Tesco’s Great Irish Bake in aid of Temple Street

Last week Tesco stores throughout Wexford held bake sales in their stores. This year the funds raised will help Temple Street purchase specialised Speech and Language equipment, used in the treatment of children with cleft palette.

Now in its fourth year, Tesco’s 150 stores nationwide raised €112,000 in just one day alone.

Customers were invited to pop in-store and indulge in a sweet treat or two, prepared by the dedicated Tesco staff, while raising vital funds for the little heroes of Temple Street.

Christine Heffernan, Corporate Affairs Director, said: ‘It’s fantastic to see another successful year of the Great Irish Bake, raising vital funds for our charity partner.’
