Wexford’s ‘XLlent’ stores acknowledged

-

A NUMBER of XL Stores from around county Wexford were honoured recently at the XL Retailing Standard Awards which took place in the Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone.

Doyle’s XL, from Wexford town, and XL Gorey were among the stores that received a gold standard award at the ceremony. The awards scheme is run by BWG Foods which owns and operates the XL brand.

Geelan’s XL, Cleariestown, was presented with a bronze award at the event. The recognition is only given to stores that pass a tough year-long inspection process including being visited by mystery shoppers.

John Moane, Managing Director of BWG Foods Wholesale Division, said the recipients drive the standards across the group.

‘I’d like to congratulate our outstanding County Wexford winners and wish them continued success in the future,’ he said.
