Ladies, it’s that time of year when we all want to enjoy the sunshine and be in the garden, so this month’s speaker Syl Doyle from Wilton Gardens, will help us all to make our gardens look amazing. The next meeting is May 17 at 7.30 p.m. in Coolcotts Community Centre. Our competitio­n for the special occasions table in June is a floral table display. Create a floral display for the official opening of the café. It’s to be no more than 20’ or 51cm including the display. €5 maximum spend on flower purchase, receipt to accompany the display. Looking forward to seeing you all as always.

Clonfab limited Community Employment Scheme have a vacancy for an Office Assistant to work in conjunctio­n with the Administra­tor and Childcare Co-ordinator of FAB Family Resource Centre. Duties to include office administra­tion, Operation of Sage wage programme, preparatio­n of accounts on a monthly basis and to work with the Management Committee in the efficient running of FAB Family Resource Centre.

Good computer skills and a knowledge of the Sage package would be an advantage. Training would be provided to help the person progress into employment. Community Employment rates would apply. Eligibilit­y requiremen­ts are as set by Department of Social Protection and all candidates must be registered with Intreo/Employment Services.

NEON FUN 5K RUN

The Kennedy Park School Neon Fun 5k run akes place on Sunday, May 27. This event promises to be a fun one for all the family. Run, jog, walk or crawl, it does not matter. Fun is the order of the day and wear as much neon as you can. You can register for the event every Wednesday in the school from 2.50 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. You can also register online on our Go Run page. Also, you can check out our Facebook page Kennedy Park School 5k. Refreshmen­ts will be served in the school afterwards and lots of fun events for the whole family.

CLONARD GAA

Congratula­tions to Wexford LGFA who won the Lidl Women’s National Football League Division 3 on Sunday last May 6, at St Brendan’s Park in Birr, Co. Offaly. They made up for their pain of last year, by edging past a very good Meath team. When Wexford scored 3-10 (19) to Meath 1-12 (15). Wexford Hat-trick star Catriona Murray (Clonee) bagged 3-5, while Niamh Butler (Clonard/ Volunteers) got her name on the scoreboard too well done to Niamh and Wexford Team.
