ROUNDERS CLUB

Rounders is going from strength to strength in Glynn-Barntown. This year sees the return of the current ladies champions and also the introduction of two new senior teams; a mixed and an additional ladies’ team, Barntown Gaels.

With the all-Ireland quarter finals scheduled for July all teams are busy training and attending matches.

Glynn-Barntown Rounders Club would like to extend their gratitude to Menapia Motors for their sponsorship this year, and Barntown Gaels are very grateful for the backing of their sponsorship from Rosslare Pharmacy.

Recent stand out moments go to Kenny O’Reilly for his double home runs against Na Fianna of Dublin.

And to Vanessa Howlin and Ann Hanley, who both achieved home runs against the Ladies Na Fianna team. Ann also ended the game with a very impressive triple out.

The Glynn-Barntown ladies’ team take to the pitch on Sunday against the newly formed Adamstown Team and Barntown Gaels are in action on Monday against last year’s runners-up, Cuchulainn of Ballon. Best of luck to both teams.
