SCHOOL OPEN NIGHT

Scoil Mhuire’s Open Night for all parents of Infants starting in September is on Thursday, May 17, at 7.30 p.m. Looking forward to seeing you all there. Enrolment Forms please collect one from school if you haven’t already done so.

CHILDREN’S BOOK FAIR

The parents’ council of Scoil Mhuire, Broadway are holding a Book Fair of Children’s Books in the school on Monday, May 21, from 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 22/23 from 1.30 to 3.30 p.m.

SPLIT-THE-POT

Congratula­tions to Mia and Danny Broaders on winning €145 in last week’s split-the-pot draw. Draw takes place in the community centre on Sunday after Mass.

ROSARY RELAY.

The annual Rosary Relay for priests is on Friday, June 8, Our Lady’s Island Church at 8 p.m. The parish is pleased to invite all who have attended before to return, and those who have not, to come and experience a unique half hour of prayer and connection with Marian Shrines around the world.

BINGO NIGHTS

Tuesday night bingo continues to be hosted by the GAA Club each week in Butler’s at the new ‘summer’ of 9 p.m. The jackpot game has a nice sum of €850 waiting for some lucky winner.

St Paul’s AC Congratula­tions to Sammy, Gergly and Danika, who competed in the South Leinster Schools Track and field championsh­ips last Thursday in wet, windy and cold conditions at the RSC in Waterford Sammy was representi­ng Bridgetown in the Senior Long Jump and 400m. Gergly, who was representi­ng Wexford CBS in the Intermidat­e Discus and Shot where he won gold in both achieving a new PB 35.95m in the Discus along the way and also a fine throw of 12.35m in the shot.

Danika was next up for Loreto Wexford in the Intermidat­e 800m finishing in third place. Both Gergly and Danika now progress to the Leinster Schools Championsh­ips 19rh May in Santry. Day one of the Wexford County Track and field championsh­ips are on Sunday, May 13, at 11 a.m.
