Woman did not pay for dog’s bed

A 43-YEAR-OLD mother-of-two who walked out of Heatons with­out pay­ing for a dog bed was dealt with by the District Court sit­ting in Wex­ford.

The goods taken by part-time cleaner Sheila McGrath of 13 Wal­nut Grove, Wex­ford were never re­cov­ered.

Solic­i­tor Ed King said his client had no ex­pla­na­tion for what hap­pened as­sured the court that com­pen­sa­tion had been paid to the shop.

Judge Kevin Staunton ob­served that the ac­cused ap­peared to be de­cent and hard-work­ing be­fore al­low­ing her the ben­e­fit of the Pro­ba­tion Act.
