COMMUNITY LOTTO

There was no winner of last week’s jackpot of €13,200. The winning numbers were 25, 28, 31 and 33. There were no matchthree winners. Next week’s match three will be €800. The next lotto draw will be held on Tuesday, August 14, and the jackpot now stands at €13,400.

ANNIVERSAR­Y MASS

The first Anniversar­y Mass for Gerard Murphy will take place in Rathangan Church on Saturday, August 25, at 7 p.m.

DONATIONS

Donations of confection­ery are needed for the tea after the patron on Wednesday, August 15, thank you.

FUNDRAISIN­G DAY

A special fundraisin­g day will be held on Sunday, August 19, from 11 a.m. till 5 p.m. at Peadar and Verna Goff’s, Forge House, Harristown, Ballymitty, in memory of their son Edward. All money raised will be donated to the N. ICU in Holles St and the SCBU in Wexford. There will be a wide variety of plants and lovely home baking for sale. There will be face painting for the kids and a raffle with lots of prizes too. Hope you can make it.

OCTOBER 2000

Jim Berry’s book on the history of Rathangan GAA titled ‘October 2000’ is available in all shops in the parish and beyond including Geelans, Waddingtow­n, Odlums, Baldwinsto­wn, Sinnotts, Duncormick, Wallaces, Wellington­bridge, Murphys Euorspar, Taghmon, Bradys, Kilmore Quay, SOS, Book Centre and Byrnes, Wexford town, Nolans bookshop and Centra, New Ross.
