The St Fintan’s intermediate football team took on Ballyhogue in a well contested Amber Springs/Ashdown Park hotels intermediate football championship group B game on Sunday week last. In a game in which Ballyhogue started the better there was never much between the sides and when the half time whistle sounded St Fintan’s held a slender lead 2-04 to 0-09 with this scoreline never questioned.
The second half like the first was a closely contested affair and when the final whistle sounded the scoreboard read Ballyhogue 0-17 St Fintan’s 2-10 but mentors and supporters of St Fintan’s were adamant that one of the Ballyhogue’s teams points could not be accounted for. Following some vociferous appeals referee James Flood agreed to re-check
and duly called the game a draw 0-16 to 2-10. Where was Sadie? UNDERAGE LADIES
Hard luck to our under-12 girls, who lost out in the division two semi-final 4-7 to 2-7 to Crossabeg-Ballymurn. The girls took control of the first half having a commanding 2-5 to 1-0 in the lead when the halftime whistle sounded. On the resumption Crossabeg started stronger scoring 2-06 without replyto leave a scoreline of 3-06 to 2-05 and though the ladies battled hard they could not contain a now free flowing Crossabeg side that ran out winners 4-07 to 2-07. And we wish them the best of luck in the county final. Big thanks to all 19 Girls involved. BABY JOY
The St Fintan’s GAA Club extends congratulations to club member John William and Nicola Rowe on the safe arrival of their second little princess Amy. Mammy and baby both doing great, lots of busy fun times ahead. We all look forward to seeing ye all out and about soon. ALL BLACKS AFC

While it will be a poignant day for the Troy Family along with those who knew Abbie and Tom it will too be a day to celebrate 25 years on the go, a time over which we’ve had lots of craic, many great days and some fantastic achievements.
This project would not have happened without the continued support of the local people and we invite all Kilmorians to join us on this historic day. Mary Archer invited her colleagues to join her in putting on an exhibition at the Stella Maris Centre, Kilmore Quay, Co Wexford. The work featured is mainly the product of briefs they were given in the last academic year. The work and the mediums vary as much as the artists themselves. There is at least 50 years between the ages of the youngest and the oldest artist so the same briefs are being seen from very different viewpoints. Some work is bright, joyful and semi abstract while other work is photo-realism in darker shades. There will be something for everyone to enjoy.
The Stella Maris Centre is open daily Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The café is open Tuesday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Telephone 053 9129922. Contact Information: Telephone Mary at 087 2480288: email archerm@ eircom.net. PLC COURSE
Bridgetown College are currently accepting applications for our revised PLC course. We invite applications for our course as an introductory course to Information Technology Skills or as an advanced course where skills can be refined and updated.
Our PLC students enjoy a relaxed learning atmosphere which is totally different to the Leaving Certificate regime, where team teaching and self-guided learning are encouraged as well as tuition on a one-to-one basis. Learners work at their own pace to take on as much or as little of the course as they require. It is possible, in consultation with tutors, to complete the course over two years providing a chance for parents/ students/mature learners to complete four modules each year on a reduced timetable.
We are also keen to accept applications from students who did not progress to college following their Leaving Certificate exam in 2017 or previous years. Often students need a year out of the system to contemplate their future careers. We believe that this time is best spent on the PLC Course, thereby offering students the chance to improve their IT skills and prepare for the demands of further education with regard to preparing assignments, reports, projects in university or college.
We also accept applications from students who dropped out of school prior to the Leaving Certificate and offer an opportunity for all students to complete these PLC modules with supervised tuition tailored to the needs of each individual. No prior learning is necessary as all modules are taught on the basis that everyone is starting from the beginning.
All places are filled on a first come first served basis so please apply now rather than waiting till September.
