Hurling supporters voice their concern
‘Griffin must go’ was the theme behind a meeting of disgruntled hurling fans, held in Murphy Flood’s Hotel in Enniscorthy on Monday night.
The attendance raised a number of questions regarding why county teams have failed to win major titles in recent decades. The meeting was deliberately timed just before the ratifcation of the current manager and selectors for another term. ‘If Liam Grfiin and selectors are left there, then Wexford hurling will really be in the doldrums,’ a spokesman said.
[NOTE: Wonder how they got on in 1996?]
